About
I think outside the box, am solution-focused with the clients I serve, have a good sense of humor and have a direct, compassionate and supportive approach and I am flexible in my work with clients. I genuinely enjoy my work.
I enjoy meeting new people and find there are no two who are alike. I enjoy the variety of issues my clients struggle with. I am excited for them when they feel better of reach a goal. I like to celebrate their progress and use humor in our work together. I enjoyed many aspects of my counseling career and I have never been bored.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We would first, get to know each other a little, usually in the first 2 sessions. After that, I would gather information e.g. Have you had counselig before? What did you work on? Did you find it helpful? Also, I would want to know something about your family and what your relationships with them are like. In the 2nd session, together we would set some goals and I would help you state them. In the subseequent sessions we would work on the issues that brought you to therapy. That's just a brief rundown of how I work with a new client. I would listen carefully to what you say and feel and help you articulate your feelings.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Social Work degree, with many hours of continuing education, including education in new methods and counseling issues. I also have Certifiation in a method known as Interactive Guided Imagery, a mind-body approach, and I have taken several courses in creative arts therapy (you don't have to be an artist at all. It's about the process, not the results.). Ialso have taken many hours training in therapy for depression and anxiety. I am also a trained Life Coach
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My full fee is $135 a session to compensate for the many years of education and obtaining my license. If you have Regence insurance, you would likely pay a small co-pay. That is the only insurance I take.
