About
Bodywork and the body continue to astound me and feed my life-long desire to help others and solve problems. If we understand some of the body's undeniable design cues, across multiple biological systems, we can manually instigate somewhat predictible responses that can free a person from pain and restriction in profound ways.
One way to do this is by viewing a number of your past injuries as indirect contributors to your current level of overall health.
By adapting to my bodywork, classical osteopathic principles of Dr. John Wernham, I effect whole-body changes in others that help them use their bodies the way they want despite chronic pain, and longterm recoveries from past injuries. That is why I have sought extensive training in the Total Body Balancing approach to manual therapy, taught by a disciple of Dr. Wernham, Dr. Kerry D'Ambrogio.
Fascia can be recruited as an interface to facilitate change in the functional norms of muscles, nerves, organs, and the lymphatic system. This is why I have acquired certificates of training in a Neurofacial Approach to Spinal Movement, I am a certified Lymphadema therapist, I have an endorsement from my state's health department for interoral massage, and training in Visceral massage.
I am also an autodidact who thoroughly researches developments from the International Fascia Conference, and some of the writings of Carla Stecco (an anatomist) and Jean Pierre Barral (Osteopath).
I am so excited to take on challenges for people who want to stay active, and my business stands out as an outreach for those serious about their health.
