What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Clients need to feel comfortable in therapy; I want a client to feel that we are a good fit and that the session is a positive experience. Sometimes it is easier for the client (usually my teenage clients) when I ask questions, it sparks conversation and it helps them feel at ease. Other times the client just wants to talk and be heard; I listen and reflect and we build from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been practicing psychotherapy for over twenty years. I attend many trainings and workshops every year to keep up to date on current trends in the field.
