Jennifer Forbes, M.A
Sometimes life gets in the way. We all have felt the expression. Life comes at you fast at times and it’s important to slow down sometimes to get your life back on track. For clients dealing with stress, life transitions, anxiety, depression, identity crisis, etc, it is important to seek out help. Therapy is a tool in helping manage difficult times and restoring balance in your life. There is no need to go it alone. You matter and there is help out there!
I have experience working with children and adolescents as both a residential counselor and special education teacher, working with clients with intellectual exceptionalities and behavioral difficulties. I also have experience running psycho educational and skills building groups for adults.
The client is the expert in their own life and author of their own story. I use a person centered approach with my clients. Using solution focused techniques, my goal is to help clients focus on achieving their short term and long term goals in counseling and their lives. I have experience working with clients with dual diagnosis, addiction, anxiety, depression and stress.
