What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After my introduction including the importance of confidentiality, I use basic cognitive behavioral therapy to identify the clients' challenges and help design an indidual treatment plan to empower them in their life.

I am interactive in sessions, challenges destructive behaviors and patterns, provide homework to ehance their clinical experience.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I completed a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling and have 20 years of professional experience.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

My intial 50 minute session is $150 and $110 per clinical hour afterwards.

I will bill insurance companies should the client want to use avaialble benefits.  Clients are responsible for their co-pay and/or co-insurance subject to deductibles.  Cash, check, MC/Visa are accepted.

How did you get started in this business?

Through my own individual counseling and group counseling, I have always found it fascinating why we do what we do.  I have found it rewarding as I work with clients and watch them grow and find a healthy and happy life.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Individual adults, teens and couples with various metnal health and relationship issues.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

It has been a significant compliment when clients that I have worked with years ago, refer people to me and/or call to help them with a new challenge life presented them.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

If possible call a counselor referred to you by a trusted friend, family member or professional.  When calling off of a "list", have a brief phone interview and based on the answers received, and/or a "connection" set up your first appointment.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Zig Ziglar once said "people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care...about them".  Big question to answer.  Experience and respected values are also valuable to consider.  Location, convenience and costs are always a factor.
