I have been in private practice since 1994 and I feel that I am very well seasoned with lots of experience to be able to get a comprehensive view of all the factors involved and help move the client forward.
My clients do seem to enjoy my style and I also try to make them laugh and use appropriate humor along with compassion, objectivity and experience.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Counseling treatment is most valuable with a good assessment. I usually start with getting as full of an assessment as possible so that I can trouble shoot and get right to the root of the problem. I try not to "symptom chase" as I call it because that wastes time often. It's important to establish rapport with a client so they can trust me and know that I am working for their best interest, trying to balance starting where they are mixed with coaching and trying to move them forward toward solutions to their life's problems.
