About

I bring a genuine and compassionate approach to therapy and believe change is encouraged in a non-judgmental, relational and hopeful environment.

I work to cultivate an affirming therapy environment where children, adolescents and adults learn to understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, learn to self-regulate and love themselves.

When working with children and adolescents, I collaborate closely with parents to develop effective parenting strategies to help families connect and grow. I believes each individual within the family system desires to be known, understood and loved.

My specialties include the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, ADHD, bereavement, anger management and trauma. I am trained in Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused treatment techniques and attachment-based interventions. I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). I am also a trained EMDR therapist and is a member of EMDR International Association (EMDRIA).

I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University ( Muncie, Indiana) and my Master of Social Work from Indiana University and I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in both Tennessee and Indiana.

    Frequently asked questions

I offer a free 20 minute consultation to make sure we are a good fit and that I can provide the services the client or family is looking for. Therapy is about building rapport and connection and I like to take the time to make sure we can build a connection and I can offer services that are truly helpful.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University and my Master of Social Work from Indiana University.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and therapist licensed in Indiana and Tennessee.

I have extensive training in attachment based therapy interventions including Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Trust-Based Relational Interventions (TBRI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma related play therapy.

My fee is $125 an hour and I offer a sliding scale depending on need.

I have always wanted to help others even at a young age. I studied psychology in high school and in college. I took some time to raise my family and then returned to obtain my master's degree. My dream was to be able to start my own practice and I feel privledged to be able to do this at this time in my life. If you are looking for a therapist that enjoys interacting with people, understanding others and has plenty of life experience I could be a good fit for us to work together.

I have worked with all ages of children from 3 years of age to teens. I have also worked with adults of all ages and stages of life.

I have experience and really enjoy working with the whole family and working with parents is one of my favorite types of work.
