The Awakened Method has helped me reflect on traumatic childhood experiences and understand how they are still affecting me today, such as how I handle stressful situations. This method has provided tools I can use when dealing with anxiety and thus change my typical reactions. I'm able to self-regulate and respond to others in more caring ways, especially in situations where previously I may have been impatient or angry. I'm also feeling a positive shift in my relationship with my daughter as I'm more mindful of being fully present with her when she needs my attention as opposed to being elsewhere in thought.
