Frequently asked questions

I like to establish a rapport and get comfortable with the client. With a good rapport the relationship can now have trust. When the client sees that I am sincere it goes a long way to healing. My suggestions will be better conveyed and a course of therapy established. I can work on the short term basis as with the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modality. Or if the client prefers a longer term look into psychodynamic and try to uncover hidden wounds from adolescence or even childhood.

I am a Licensed Masters Of Social Work. I've learned and practiced modalities which fit many psychological prolems. Whether it is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy.or Familiy Therapy I can tailor my therapy to fit people suffering from various problems.

I charge $60 per half an hour session and $80 for a full 45 minute session
I once took a job as a counselor in a residence for the intellectually disabled and found myself enjoying it so much. I decided this was my calling in life, to help other people, to improve lives.
Besides the intellectually disabled I worked with the mainstream population. People who present with anxiety, depression, ocd, bipolar disorder. I also had an internship in college working with Holocaust survivors.
Working with a client who was living in terrible living conditions and was suffering with anxiety, depression and low self esteem. I was able to help him work out his issues to the point where he found a new job, apartment and circle of friends.
I work within the strengths perspective. My first advice to people is to practice positive self talk. This can do wonders to help motivate one to change their perspective on the ups and downs in life.
Are we the right fit? I ultimately want to see good results from my clients, so I respect honest answers to my questions.
