Marina Rozenberg MD
I work with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, a painful sense of disconnection, challenging relationships, chronic anger/irritability or find themselves repeating unhealthy patterns or behaviors despite their best efforts to change. Over time these issues can erode one's sense of life’s meaning, and can diminish one's capacity to experience joy or express oneself creatively.
I am trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, which helps us understand how formative experiences led to the development of these fixed symptoms and behaviors, and Bioenergetic Analysis, where breathing and movement can be utilized to bring to the surface emotions and experiences that fell out of awareness when we lost contact with our body’s sensations.
In therapy, we seek to understand what our symptoms are trying to tell us, and we risk experiencing the feelings that they have tried to protect us from. Only then can we find the freedom to pursue a more creative and meaningful life. I would love to help guide you in this important endeavor.
I’ve been a practicing internal medicine physician since 2004. In the process of going through my own healing journey, I realized that I wanted to learn to use the tools that were most valuable to me in order to help others in their pursuit of more meaningful and genuine lives.
I enjoy helping people uncover the emotional reasons that contribute to the parts in their life where they might feel stuck or frustrated, and also to connect to aspects of themselves that they have had to reject or ignore in order to get along in their environment, but that resulted in a sense of alienation both from their deeper selves and from others.

How did you get started in this business?
By following my passion for personal growth and emotional healing work.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with adults of all ages who struggle with emotional symptoms (anxiety, depression, chronic anger), have difficulties with relationships or intimacy, have a history of trauma, who are going through life transitions, or who just wish to have a deeper sense of who they are and how to lead a more fulfilling life.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Get a sense of whether you feel generally comfortable relating to the therapist (often this can be a gut sense), and whether the modality they practice (for example, CBT or psychodynamic psychotherapy) seems like it might be a good fit for you. Feel free to ask questions about how they do therapy and why they feel their way of practicing would be beneficial to you.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Consider what your goals are for treatment - what are you hoping to get out of therapy?
