About this pro

I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been in private practice since 2001 working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.Whether we're working on depression, anxiety, anger mgmt, self-harm, increasing self-esteem, self-acceptance, marital work or parenting skills myapproach is to always meet the client where the client is currently, help them figure out their needs and prioritizes and then use their strengths to reach their goals. I also help my clients break down larger goals into smaller, easier to reach and more attainable goals so we see progress faster and move forward easier.

I have also worked in the public school system so I can assist you with IEP’s and the potential mental health accommodations you feel the school may need to make on behalf of your child.

My website is: RemiFreemanLCSW.com

I tend to become emotionally invested with my clients. I love that I can be a part of their path and see them through from their start point to their end point. There's nothing better than receiving following up texts, calls or emails months or even years later about how wonderful my clients are doing in their lives. I love the work I do.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Finding the reason you've decided to seek out therapy is the most important first step. Assessing your goals is extremely important. Always remember, the therapists goals don't matter. It's you who directs treatment. If you aren't clear on what your needs are, your therapist is there to help you figure that out. Keep in mind that throughout the therapeutic process your goals may change, this is normal. Your therapist should be able to change with you.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a master's degree in social work from Bryn Mawr College and since become a licensed clinical social worker.
