About
I have been actively involved with therapy since 1984. I am experienced in working with PTSD in military veterans, other trauma and recovery issues, marriage and divorce, grief, depression and anxiety. I use a variety of methods such as meditation, self-hypnosis, cognitive behavioral, and psychodynamic therapies. I believe that my service stands out because of years of practice in being able to fit the therapy to the person and the problem.
What I enjoy most is seeing how each person uses their unique character and personality to resolve problems and grow through their challenges.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start with the client telling me what they think is important for me to know about them and their issue that brought them into therapy. Then it works best to end with a discuss about what expectations/goals we can work on in therapy, and any other questions they have for me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters degree in psychoolgy with specific trainings in PTSD, trauma and recovery. Initially I took classes in biofeedback, which evetually led to training in meditation and selp-hypnosis. I started out working with Vietnam vets who were chemically dependent and suffered from PTSD, and then found that people with other traumas leading to PTSD were helped with these same techniques.
