Journeys Massage
About
I vow to bring you a session as individualized as you, at the highest standard by continuously updating my education with the lastest information available. Everyone is different and I know that massage protocols are not a one fits all and need to be personalized to fit each person.
As the saying goes, it's never work if you enjoy what you do. I've always had a passion for wanting to do massage therapy and even when in school learning the trade, I couldn't help already envisioning myself already in the field working. The work is relaxing, rewarding and over all brings me a sense of satisfaction that I have potentially helped someone leave with a little less pain, if any at all.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I invite you to arrive a little earlier than your appointment, you will fill out a health screening. We will go over what outcomes you are looking for in treatment, areas that are bothering you that day.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed 1200 hours of massage training at James Rumsey Technical Institute in Hedgesville, WV. Training included an 11 month program consisting of Swedish/classic massage, deep tissue massage, and hot stone massage therapies.
I have worked with over 70+ clients in a classroom clinical setting perfecting my practice. I graduated with honors from the Technical Honor Socieity and was Valedictorian of my massage class.
I have also kept up with keeping my license valid with continuing education standards of West Virginia licenses for massage.

How did you get started in this business?
I've always been interested in massage, even before I graduated highschool but things in life had always seemed to come first. It was only after one of my daughter's T-ball games that I saw the sign out in front of James Rumsey Technical Institute in 2013 that I decided no more excuses.
I applied, at first balancing my employment at Quad Graphics as part time, a family, and school full time before focusing completely on family and school. I was rewarded for my hard work with high grades, an induction in the Technical Honor Socieity, and the tools I needed to develop my career.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with well over 200+ clients in a spa setting since my start at Renissance Spa in Berkeley Springs, WV, and each of them with their own individual needs.
I have had my home business for nearly as long, working on mostly those in the medical feild, but I invite everyone to visit me for a massage.
I have recently joined Seven Moons Wellness Shop, receiving clients there in my own little set up room.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I and many of my peers volunteered at the Air Force in Martinsburg donating chair massages to the military men and women for a day. It was a rewarding experience and we could tell that the military men and women enjoyed themselves with the program.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Don't be afraid to ask questions.
If you cannot keep your appointment, please let that therapist know. It's better to reach out, than to no call/no show.
