My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, dignity, empathy, and compassion. We will work together to develop your goal(s) to meet your unique and specific issues/concerns that can be accomplished together.

I do want to share with you, that is okay to be nervous when meeting someone for the first time. Especially, when that person will be asking personal questions about your feelings and emotions, however, without any judgment or criticism. If you have any questions you may ask them at any time when we are working together in a session. All I ask of you is to be honest, so that I may be able to help you and completely understand your issues/concerns that you may want to address in counseling. I would like to know what your expectations are while attending counseling.

It takes valor and strength to seek help from a professional and/or stranger, however, I am here to put you at ease and work through issues/concerns in your life together as a team. Thank you for taking the first steps towards a change. I am here to support, guide, and empower you.

I am here to work with people who are committeed once they click on my name. That said, I beleive that if you are willing to have an open mind, willingness to change your thought process and behavior, and learn to grow in the areas of mental, physical, spiriutal, and emotional. Please be aware that you must make contact with me at least once a week if you decide to work with me and the contact must include a brief update on how you are doing in these areas: feelings, emotions, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Also let me know how your progressing with your goals, worksheets, and/or documents. If I do not hear from you within 14 days, this contact policy will result in the termination of my services to you. This is for your benefit and safety, and it is important for me to be in contact with you consistently as part of our counseling relationship and your process.

Please keep in mind that discussing difficult times can increase symptoms of uncomfortability, but we will walk through those together. Counseling is generally considered safe as it is under guidance with a supportive and collaborative relationship.

Sincerely,

Dr. Louise Mitsianis, LMNC, MCAP, IC & RC/ADC

I love working in this career because it is such an honor that if the client is willing to do something different in their life, they grow emotinoally, mentally, physically, and spirituality. That warms my heart and lets me know that I am to help other people by sharing me experience, strength, and hope.
