About
I was born and raised in Tampa, FL. I attended the University of South Florida. I am very passionate about Behavioral Health. For leisure, I like to hang out with my family and friends and enjoy nature, mainly the beach. Mental Health is essential. It affects everyone every day from waking up in the morning to going to bed at night. I am passionate about mental health, because I love helping others. There have been moments where I just felt that connection with a client during a defining moment in therapy. When we give we receive. Forgiveness is so important. To succeed in life you have to be humble and let go of your pride. People are so much harder on themselves than they are on others and it helps to remember this when practicing self love. Self Care is important or you will burn out. The mind and body are so connected. Balance is essential. Covering up your emotions will not make them go away. You have to ride the waves of life. You have to know how to feel your emotions, but not let them define you. Therapy is a lot like balance. It is important to know what you want, what you need, and how to get there. Your past does not define you. People are beautiful. I believe in big huge open hearts. Some wear it on their sleeve and others have it tucked away, but it is there ready to access. Call me an idealist, but I believe that all people have the capacity to let their light shine. Change takes time. Change is not easy, but change is possible. Change is WORTH IT! - Ashley Franchino, LMHC, MCAP * Owner of Avanti
