Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free 15-minute consultation via phone or online to help us see if I might be the right therapist for you. If we continue from there, we will set up an hour-long intake appointment in which I will gather information for you - some relevant history, details about your primary complaint(s), and what your goals are. I try to adapt my approach to each client, as much as possible and incorporate mindfulness where applicable.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 12 years of experience working as a mental health counselor and psychotherapist. I have a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado. I am trained in Gottman couples therapy. I regularly attend various trainings in order to improve my work and stay up-to-date as a therapist.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

grief and loss; end of life; substance abuse, addiction and co-occuring; severe and persistent mental illness: schizophrenia, bipolar, major depressive disorder; various personality disorders; trauma; anxiety
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Research shows and it is my personal experience that the relationship between therapist and client is essential to effective therapy and growth. If you need to try multiple therapists before finding the right fit, that is okay.
