About

Life can be difficult. Sometimes, even the strongest people amongst us need a little bit of help to work through some of life's more challenging problems.

Everyone has battles to fight and hurdles to overcome at some point. But when things are too dark and challenging, and it feels as if you just can't figure out how to move past things on your own, you should know that therapy can help you have a better tomorrow.

You might be initially hesitant to seek out help and support for personal matters, but when you do, you will feel confident that you are taking a courageous first step towards getting to a better place and being a better you.

Here at the psychotherapeutic office of Gail Lewis, LPC, I realize that no two people are the same, and I tailor my therapy to meet your specific needs as an individual. I love helping people understand the things that are holding them back with an in-depth approach. After recognizing underlying problems, clients can fully realize their strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.

My practice specializes in helping people who are struggling with relationship problems, anxiety, and overcoming effects of trauma. If you are feeling lost and struggling with these worries, I'm confident that I have the experience to help you rediscover what brings happiness to your life. Through therapy, there is always a way to address the issues you face and learn coping strategies to help you both right now and in the future.

Through therapy, we can get you on track to leading a happier, more fulfilling life by equipping you with the tools you need to more efficiently and confidently manage life's challenges.

It is never too late to change and start living the life you've always wanted.

If you're interested in becoming a happier, more fulfilled you, I'd love to work with you every step of the way. Please contact me today!

I've enjoyed helping people over the last 21 years and continue to enjoy my clients every day. Also, I learn even more with every interaction I have with a client, as each person is so very unique. I learn more about myself continually, as my clients and I work collaborately.

    Frequently asked questions

Client-centered, empathetic and unconditional positive therapeutic regard.

I have been a clinical mental health therapist for 21 years, having earned my Master's degree in Clinical counseling from the University of Southern Maine. I have been in private practice since 2002. I earned a second Master's in 2018, at the University of Southern California, in Gerontology (aging services management). I am presently earning my Ph.D.in Clinical Psychology at Saybrook Graduate University. I completed training in conducting EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensiization and Reprocessing) and offer that when clinically appropriate. It can help in past trauma, PTSD, anxiety and with many other issues.

If paying by cash, my current rate is $100.00 per session. I also take Medicaid in Jefferson County, which requires no copay. I also work with Anthem BC/BS, in which the copay varies between each client's coverage. It is usually between zero to $35.00 at this time.
