Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New clients fill out an intake form before our first session. With this I collect a brief medical history and take into consideration any treatment(s) for injuries or health conditions while also factoring in things such as medications, daily routine, and lifestyle. The intake also helps me to create a plan of treatment and allows for me to better understand the client's personal needs and goals so that I may provide them with an outcome that meets or exceeds their expectations.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My journey in healing and massage began at a young age when I would practice lomi lomi with my Native Hawaiian grandmother and hula sisters, as well as Kua Lua (a form of barefoot back walking) with my dad who was a martial artist. In 2014, I graduated from Northwest Career College in Las Vegas where I was well-taught in a wide variety of modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, chair, medical, prenatal, and sports massage, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, accupressure, Gua Sha, cupping and hot stones to name a few. I perform therapeutic touch for those in hospice and am training to be an End-of-Life Doula. I have a passion for learning and am constantly adding to my skillset. Currently, I am studying applied kinesiology and preparing for my national certification as a licensed massage therapist.
