About
Over the years I have helped hundreds of teenagers and their families reduce conflict, improve their relationships, and learn healthier ways to manage stress and negativity. With experience in both hospital and outpatient settings, I am familiar with many different concerns for teens and their parents - from defiance and drug use to self-harm, violence, and serious mental illness.
My approach to therapy is individualized to each client’s situation. In the short term I might work to decrease household tension, address unsafe behavior, and introduce healthy coping skills. Longer-term goals could include helping teens develop a stronger sense of identity, manage ongoing mental health concerns, or work through difficult experiences.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically am able to return messagea from potential clients within 48 hours. I offer a free phone consulation where I learn more about the client’s particular situation, and can answer any questions about my experience, approach, and costs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters in Science in Counseling from San Diego State University. I have additional training in applied psychophysiology, crisis management, and adolescent neurobiology. I am a contributing author to the 2018 Routledge book Neuroscience and Collaborative Therapy. I have 7 years of experience working with teens and their families.

$125/hour for an individual session (50 min)
$150/hour for a family session (60 min)
Private pay only. I am able to provide documentation for clients to seek reimbursement from their insurer.
