My name is Lisa Higginson, and I am a Resident Therapist at Gilbert Counslors. I have completed my MS in Professional and Christian Counseling at GCU. I have a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Family and Human Development from ASU. I have worked in several roles serving Arizona’s families and children since 2008. My desire is to help individuals be the best version of themselves. I am advancing my knowledge in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, geriatrics and couples. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, life adjustment issues and more.
I am an Arizona native and enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I have two cats and a Pomeranian who keep me and my husband on our toes constantly, as it seems they are “always up to something.”
