About
Hello, my name is Virginia and I am the owner of Therapeutically Relaxed. I have been a professional massage therapist for 7 years now, and have used my continuing education to further my career with medical massage.
I also have enjoyed learning more about Aromatherapy, and have recently added the use of essential oils in some add-ons. Plus sell many different products made with only the best theraputic grade oils.
My business isn't just my job, it's my passion. I feel that my love for my career shines in all my sessions.

How did you get started in this business?
I always have had a passion for helping others, so as a child I felt I would just follow in my mother's footsteps and go the medical route. Well.. I have a problem being around trama.. I'll pass out even lol. So becoming a nurse wasn't something I could see myself doing for the rest of my life... Lucky for me, one of my school nurses at my high school used to be an LMT. She would give me hand massages and showed me some energywork. We became close friends and really feel it was her love that showed me that this career is more then meets the eye. I would offer my friends complimentary massages and everyone said I have a strong touch and should look into becoming professional. It took a little while for me to finally go to school. I worked hard and believed in my heart that this was my true calling! Im able to help in many different ways and worked right beside Chiropractors. I had all the love with non of the legal responsibilities that come with a medical degree. I work with clients that not only need the work, but people that wanted it. They felt the dereference my massages gave them, and a good 80% of everyone I ever worked on, has come back as regular clients.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Everyone!
All ages, sizes, and professions. I feel that clients that take the time to exercise regularly and have a healthy diet, can experience more benefits massage has to offer.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Little over a year ago I was hospitalized for having a huge kidney stone. I was about 5 weeks pregnant so my options were to terminate my pregnancy and have surgery now, or go on bed rest and have tubes coming out of me till after I have my baby. Let's just say #1 was never even an option to consider, so I ended up having to quit my job working with an amazing Chiropractor and focus on mine and my new child's health.
Long story short, I now have a health, beautiful baby boy! Had my surgery and now ready to get back to work! I could have gone back to my old job, but I was terrified of being burned out.. Having 3 kids now, I didn't want to be tired after working 9 hour days while 8 of those were me standing nonstop. I've always had a dream to own my own practice, and right now might be a good time to try again. I've tried in the past, but it never worked out for me :-( I didn't know what I was doing wrong...
I read some books, upped my prices and decided to offer a membership to dedicated clients. I also wanted to add products, so I looked into essential oils. The oils I found were either cheap and not therapeutic, or expensive and not in my price range...
Then what happened next is freaky... only word that comes close to explaining it is kismet. My cousin just joined a network marketing business that offers the best oils I have ever heard of. Did some resurch, and found that this business could definitely help my business. Not only because of the products, but because of my massage license, I was eligible for a professional account that offers me 40% off everything!
Since I've become a Young Living Rep, my business is actually showing profit in my ROI for the first time ever! I've learned some amazing things and litterally get paid to talk about things I use on a daily bases. Plus, if anyone does join under me, they get rewards for my Massage business as well.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a company in your area of expertise?
I really wish massage was advertised more professionally and not just in a sap setting. It's something that everyone truly needs!
What questions should customers think through before talking to companies about their needs?
I want to try an exercise with you. Press your chin into your chest. Next lift your arms above your head, hold your hands and slowly bend your elbows till your hands touch the back of your head. Last, curl your spin forward as far as you can go. Feeling any pain or blocks in your spin?
Now, just focus on any tight or even numb areas in your body. Take notes on any areas you feel could use some work. Those are the only questions I'll need you to ask. All other questions are welcomed of course, and I'll answer any that I can.
