About
Kayla is a Master-Level Social Worker who equips clients with their own sense of empowerment in their journey to healing. With over six years of experience in the Human Service and Social Work fields, Kayla has worked in long-term care settings, intensive case management, developed psycho-education and therapy groups, and has also practiced as a psychotherapist and adjunct instructor for a local college.
With Kayla’s education background obtaining her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California; she has extensive knowledge of holistic and integrative approaches to care, which considers all aspects of human development physically, spiritually, and behaviorally. Kayla is a long term member of the National Association of Social Workers, the National Institute of Health, and is a member of the Rural Mental Health Committee for the National Association of Social Workers. Kayla has obtained her certifications through Wisconsin State Department of Professional Services and is licensed to practice in the State of Wisconsin as both a Master of Social Worker and Advanced Practice Social Worker.
As Kayla is a therapist who encourages self-empowerment, her clients can expect a laid-back and welcoming experience. Kayla believes the job of a therapist is to walk along side of the client in their journey, not to provide directives and ultimatums. As you work with Kayla, clients will be provided a safe space to explore interventions within the therapeutic setting that are specific to their own needs and goals. When Kayla is not working, she enjoys grabbing the closest mystery book, enjoying a cup of tea on the porch while watching nature, and creating meals for her family to enjoy.
As a clinician, I strive to empower and motivate clients to find their potential in making long-lasting, healthy, changes.
