About
At Wild Foxgloves we believe that it's possible to find profound healing from deep heartache, harm, abuse, or trauma and reclaim beauty that was stolen from you. Our style of counseling engages the story of your life with kindness and compassion, with a therapist who is authentic, real, and transparent.
Wild Foxgloves endorses the theory that we can only take others as far as we have gone ourselves. Our counselor, Cresaya E. Kingsbury deeply engages healing for her own story of childhood trauma and knows on a personal level the reclaimative power of counseling.
Cresaya E. Kingsbury holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Walla Walla University, and completed her internships working with clients who had suffered childhood trauma and abuse. She is purusing certification in narative focused trauma care from The Allender Center. She is a licensed mental health counselor associate under the supervison of Abby Wong-Heffter who has extensive experince in trauma counseling.
I'm passionate about journying alongside individuals who are reclaiming what was stolen and re-authoring their future.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The relationship with your therapist is key in your healing process. I recommend taking six sessions to become acquainted before committing to working together. That allows you time to have a sense of whether I'm a fit for you, and it also gives me a sense of whether my skillset matches your needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and completed an internship working with clients who suffered abuse and trauma in childhood. Currently, I am Level I certified in Narative Focused Trauma Care, and am currently pursuing the Narrative Focused Trauma Care Level II certification through The Allender Center, and as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, I'm under the supervision of Gina Waggoner, a seasoned trauma counselor.
Additionally, I have worked in the medical field for nine years with patients who have suffered concussions, mild traumatic brain injury, traumatic brain injury, and acquired brain injury, as well as chronic illness and chronic pain, and learning disabilites and reading difficulities. I have attended Oregon Health Science University's Brain Awareness Lectures, and continuind education on traumatic brain injury. While this is not the focuse of my work as a counselor, many have suffered concussions or brain injury, chronic illness or pain and I bring an understanding and compassion to this that is unique.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find a counselor who you feel comfortable with, who is open to your asking questions about their level of experience with adult survivors of childood abuse or trauma. If it's not much, ask if they're open to learning. Don't be afraid to give yourself several sessions to decide if a counselor is a good fit for you.
Look for a counselor who engages their own healing work. Feel free to ask them if they do, and if they become defensive when you ask, look for someone else. Above all--listen to your intuition. If something doesn't feel right, they're not right for you.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Are you willing to make a long-term commitment of time and finances?
Are you willing to carve-out time in-between sessions to read, contemplate, and journal?
How will you care for your heart after sessions and processing that is heavy?
If you're doing Telehealth counseling, where can you create a private, distraction-free space for your sessions?
