I've been working with mental health clients since 1991 close to thirty years. I provide counseling that is biblically focused and also produce off-the-cuff videos on Facebook and Youtube on many topics of interest. My educational background is as an emergency department nurse for over twenty years, which has given me a broad base from which to approach many topics. Achieving a master of education in guidance and counseling in 1993, I completed her doctorate in biblical counseling in 2009. My counseling skills may be confirmed independently from the Christian Counseling Directly and Good Samaritan Counseling Ministries in Vancouver Wa. I especially enjoys teaching and encouraging clients with a variety of mental health issues: anger, anxiety, bipolar, depression, grief, PTSD and other stress related disorders. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When you first come into the office, the essential paperwork is completed so I know a little about you and the reason you've come for counseling. I believe it's important for the two of us to get to know one another so you can be assured we will be able to work well together. Once this is done, we can decide if both of us wish to pursue the counseling relationship. If so, a second session is scheduled for a follow up to establish goals and how I can best serve your needs.
