Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My overarching method of therapeutic process focuses on placing clients on an equal footing with myself, as the therapist, by validating the client's account of their inner world.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) Degree. However, I am currently practicing with a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in Washington State. That said, I will be sitting for the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP) and Washington State jurisprudence exam shortly, to then practice under a Psychologist License for Washington State.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I see most clients through their insurance; however, I am also available for private pay. Please make contact to discuss the details further.
How did you get started in this business?
I became interested in the field of psychology due to my interest in people.
What types of customers have you worked with?
In general, I treat a variety of cultural groups as well as adolescents (ages 13 years and above), adults, and older persons.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Helping a client find a resolution to a long endured burden.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
A therapist should be non-judgmental, inquisitive, and professional. Other than that, providers should make you aware of their areas of interest upon contact.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Clients general need to come into their intial session with an idea of the problem they want to solve.
