About this pro

My job is to create the space you need to openly communicate about your needs and create a path to the next step in your future.

The focus of my work is pre-marital counseling, grief/bereavement, creativity coaching, life coaching and spiritual direction.

For pre-marital counseling, I use a system called Prepare-Enrich, a process that has been used by a variety of therapists and pastoral counselors. It helps a couple to use their strengths to leverage and support their areas of growth, which we all have.

I also use Family Systems Theory, Spiritual Direction and other tools based on your specific needs.

I have six years of experience working with all kinds of couples and would be honored to help you.

I love helping people with pastoral counseling, relationship counseling, pre-marital counseling and spiritual direction. I have served individuals, couples, spiritual communities, as well as families with children.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I begin with a personal assessment. From there we establish how we want to work together, how often, and for how long

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been a rabbi for over six years. I have worked in spiritual education for a decade. I have a variety of educational experiences in spirituality and healthcare, psychological first aid, mandated reporter training for children and the elderly, premarital counseling and more.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

I charge $35.00 for my online assessment, then $75-$80 per hour for each one hour session.

How did you get started in this business?

I relocated from Atlanta to Richmond when my wife and I were looking for our next adventure in life. I love serving all kinds of people and hope to help you with whatever your life may need.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with people of all backgrounds in pre-marital counseling and spiritual direction.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I read a prayer and spoke in front of two thousand people at the Unity Rally at the Weinstein JCC in honor of the victims of the Pittsburgh shooting.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Make sure that you hire someone who understands what your specific needs are. Some people need a lifecoach who will "kick them" into doing something like weight loss or business development. Others need someone to listen to them objectively. Many seek a spiritual leader. Whatever your needs are, communicate them accurately.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

- What are your specific goals?

- What kind of coach/therapist/pastor can provide you with the tools to meet those goals?

- What kind of ongoing commitment do I need to make to this person?
