Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a free consultation. Then there is an informational intake process and I help the client decide on goals. Then it is an easy step into therapy which is a safe place to tell your story and work on reaching those goals.
Note: I am only able to work with Virginia residents and I do not tale insurance, but I'm happy to provide a receipt that you can take to your insurance company if the allow outside practitioners.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a great deal of life experience teaching and guiding people. I have also been heavily involved in the Creative Arts. I have a BFA, an MSW, and I'm a licensed LCSW. My Internships were both in intensive mental health placements, and residency was in-home (high risk) and with a private therapy practice.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

What types of customers have you worked with?
I typically work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, ptsd, social anxiety, grief etc.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make certain your mental health therapist is a good fit for you. They should listen well and be willing to view therapy as a partnership in working towards your goals.
