My passion is to see people come from hurt and distress to healing and wholeness.
I am a Christian and a Licensed Professional Counselor and there is no incongruity between the two in my practice. Knowing what the world is like today, I feel certain that you or some of those you love are facing problems that are impossible to resolve or even face in the strength of human resources thus the combination of faith and psychological processes are used as I walk alongside those who come to Wharton County Counseling Center.
I started out with Faith-based counseling 15 years ago earning a Licensed Counselor Pastoral certification. With that certification and my Master of Divinity degree I provided Pastoral counseling. and trained other Pastors and lay counselors.
I have also provided grief counseling, marriage counseling and individual counseling.
Five years ago I returned to the classroom and earned an M.S. in Counseling Psychology. I interned in a Geriatric Psychiatric Unit at Matagorda Regional Hospital in Bay City, TX

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First session, I listen to learn about the client. Between 1st and 2nd session I put together a plan for subsequent sessions that includes areas of concentration. The client and I will come to agreement and plan on those sessions. Once sessions are close to coming to a close and client feels like he or she has come to a place of healing and/or wholeness we will schedule a closing session.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $85 for an individual.
$135 for a couple.
Group counseling is based on the number of people in the group. Typically $135 for the first two people and $55 for each subsequent person.

What types of customers have you worked with?
Individuals suffering from thoughts of suicide and depression. Those suffering from low self-esteem and shame. Rape and incest victims. Typical age 30-80.
