Pamela Rowell, LPC
About
Hi! My name is Pamela Rowell and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have been counseling in a variety of areas with individuals, couples, families, children and teens. My style is warm, empathetic, but very straight forward. I believe in empowering you so that whatever issue you are facing, you have the necessary skills and education to overcome the issue and walk in freedom and confidence regarding your problems. I am an advocate for you and will travel along beside you as you face each situation that arises.
I love seeing people break through on an issue into a place of freedom and find success over what was a problem and isn't anymore which means in marriage relationships, individually, or as a family. I thoroughly enjoy working with married couples.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I first meet with a new client, I like to get to know them, and allow time for them to also get to know me. If there is time in the first session, I ask the client what he or she would like to get out of therapy, in essence, what are their individual goals they want to achieve. From those goals, I develop a treatment plan and share it with the client to ensure it meets their approval. We then begin with the most pressing issue and work to resolve it. I also ask the client to track their progress to make sure we are heading in the right direction. We assess the progress and when the client is satisfied that he or she has achieved the goal, we move on to the next goal until we have successfully completed all their goals for therapy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a concentration in Addiction and Recovery and a Master's degree as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have many experiences traumatic and otherwise that give me an empathy and compassion for many individuals seeking counseling.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Based on a client's financial needs, I determine the cost of services. I like to take into consideration each client's financial situation. I start out with a flat fee of $45 and go from there.
How did you get started in this business?
I am very passionate about helping people who are in crisis or just need a helping hand in facing the dilemma's of life. Many things in life are unfair and understanding these issues can be confusing and overwhelming at times. It is my focus to help an individual, couple, and family sort through these issues and find balance again in life, because sometimes normal has changed and now you have to find a new normal especially in times of trauma and crises, which is when I am especially passionate.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with individuals of all ages from children, adolescents, young adults, mid-life adults and seniors. I have also worked with couples and families which is something very important to me. Family is one of our best support systems. Without that kind of support, life can be lonely and overwhelming, and defining family does not always mean blood related. I help people right where they are.
