About
PLEASE be aware that I am licensed to treat Chemical Dependency; I do not treat other disorders unless they are aspects of addiction.
I love sharing the skills of mindfulness and other powerful tools for others to develop a new, more satisfying and joyful life in recovery from addiction.
I have been teaching mindfulness since 2016, in my career as a Substance Abuse Counselor. I am internationally certified; licensed to practice in Texas and Colorado. I offer coaching in all other states.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I invite you to call or message me for a free phone consultation. If we agree that I am a good fit for your needs, I will set up access to my secure Client Portal so that you can provide initial documentation and needed information. If you have insurance (I am in-network with BCBS Texas for most plans) I will contact them to determine eligibility. We can schedule our first telehealth session within days.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied at the Institute for Chemical Dependency Studies, Austin Community College, and the University of Texas at the Permian Basin. I trained in Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention with the founders of that program. I have trained in Vipassana mediation as taught by SN Goenka; as wel as other instructors.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $65 for a 40 minute session.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with many clients who are just trying to determine if they want to stop using substances, to those with substantial time since their last use who want to make certain that their recovery is sustainable and leading to a bigger, more vibrant and purposeful life.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I advise anyone looking for help with their addiction to find someone who has been through it, and has discovered a completely transformed life.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How ready are you to stop drinking or using drugs? How important is this to you? How likely do you think you are to stay with a program of couseling and daily practice? This process of recovery involves a lot of "taking directions" and following through on commitments. I'm not a "harsh taskmaster" but I will ask you to take action to build skills and develop insights; daily.
