Anne-Marie Zanzal, M.Div

Anne-Marie Zanzal is a trustworthy and compassionate professional. I first met Anne-Marie after I’d come out as a lesbian at 42yo, and had recently divorced. I was also grieving multiple losses of loved ones after an extreme bout of caregiving. I felt devastated, tired and alone. She counseled me with compassion and intuitive knowing. She offered me hope during one of the darkest transitions of my life. I am an introvert and would ordinarily shy away from support groups. However, I joined one of Anne-Maries groups anyhow. (1) I was supported with tools to learn more about my resilience and my authentic self. (2) I forged meaningful connections with other women in transition and grief. (3) I regained confidence. Many of us will experience darkness and crises during major life transitions. Sometimes the pain will feel so unbearable that it is easy to get lost in despair. Anne-Marie supports and connects women at a time when we need it most. When we are finding ourselves in the darkness, trying to reignite hope, all while searching for the courage to keep moving forward… Anne-Marie Zanzal and her support groups of courageous women propelled me forward on this very journey.

I found Anne-Marie to be both insightful and compassionate. In spite of the difference in our years, she really seemed to understand and appreciate my experiences and helped me to see a way to be able to continue to grow and learn about myself.
