Aiesha Walker received her graduate degree in Mental Counseling from Argosy University, undergraduate degree in Religion and Philosophy from Fisk University, and an Early Childhood Development Associates from Tri-C Community College.
As a therapist she believes that compassion, understanding, and trust are important in the therapeutic process. Aiesha has experience working in residential facilities and private agencies assisting troubled youth and their families from diverse backgrounds and a range of concerns. She is also known for conducting creative group therapy for teens, parents, and women. As a former foster youth who was adopted and placed in the foster care, Aiesha has a lifelong commitment to advocating for foster youth, adopted youth, and their families.
In her private practice she welcomes individuals, children, teens, couples, families. Areas of focus include but are not limited to: trauma, depression, divorce, family conflict, parenting, pre and post adoption concerns, martial and women’s issues. Aiesha understands that every client is different and uses an electric approach during therapy. These therapy methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focus CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems, and Solution Focused Therapy.
Aiesha is the Founder of Women of Wholeness (W.O.W), a women's empowerment group dedicated to helping women accomplish and pursue their dreams through support and networking.
To accommodate client needs, Aiesha offers convenient weekend sessions in the downtown Nashville Area.
