My name is Lisa Mavrides and I am a recent graduate of Lancaster Bible College with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During my last year of graduate school, I interned at the counseling center at Lancaster Bible College, as well as interned at a Christian private practice called Bay Area Christian Counseling located in Annapolis, MD. During my internship, I gained experience working with children and adolescents as well as college students with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, OCD, acute trauma, life transitions and relationship difficulties. Some interventions I have used are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment theory, family systems theory informed skills and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) informed skills.
