My areas of expertise include Attachment Focused EMDR for treatment of trauma, and the psychodynamic and person-centered treatments of depression, anxiety spectrum disorders, and issues related to living with diabetes, body image and obesity, and personal growth.
The process of healing is a collaborative process between therapist and patient. I am direct, warm, and respectful in my professional approach and work best with people who are curious and motivated to understand themselves and learn to approach current struggles in new and adaptive ways.
Trained in both in nutrition and counseling, I incorporate knowledge of the physiologic and nutrition processes that promote and contribute to healing, and approach treatment through the combination of psychotherapy and integrative and functional medicine dietetics.
