About
CURRENT OPENINGS When you are looking for a counselor, you want someone you can trust, right? You want to feel safe. You want to know that he or she has experience and understands how to help. My experience with sensitive issues runs deep. I have personal and professional experience in the areas of adoption, binge eating disorder, autism, sensory processing disorders, LQBTQ discrimination, domestic violence, and trauma. I take a relational approach and feel that a lot of progress can be made when you have a trusted person that can support you through the changes you are wanting to make or the crisis that you are facing.
"If I go to counseling, doesn't it mean that I'm crazy?" You are not alone in asking this question. It doesn't. It just means that you have feelings, experiences, or struggles right now. We all experience times in our lives that are difficult. To want something different than what you are experiencing, that seems pretty normal to me.
It can be a really difficult decision to make to start counseling and it's also normal to feel nervous at first. My role is to listen and lend a hand, not judge your choices. I will return your call and you can schedule an appointment online if you would like just check out my website. Hope to hear from you soon.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Would you like to get in for an appointment right away? Since I am often in session I have found that many people like to set up their appointment time online so they can see what is available. My webpage is www.offtherecordokc.com From there we meet for an initial appointment and we are good to go.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with a counseling degree from Southern Nazarene University in 2014. Before that, I earned a graduate degree from OCU in 2000. I have previously worked as a director of a program that assisted families with preventing their children from being removed from them by DHS. I attended trainings including, violent partner, trauma, substance abuse, child development, autism, and sensory processing disorders. I was involved in an ongoing evidence-based program called SafeCare.
