Jane Lewins MSW

Jane Lewins is a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Ohio. She has a B.A. in Psychology from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania and a Master’s of Social Work degree, with a specialization in Chronic Affects of Trauma, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Jane is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, and the National Association of Grieving Children. She is certified by the National Organization for Victim’s Assistance (NOVA) to provide crisis response and is a certified member of her local Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and is a Field Advocate for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, President of the Ohio Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).

As a credentialed trainer in ASIST, SafeTALK, and Mental Health First Aid, she has trained law enforcement, military, educators and health care professionals to identify and respond to persons who may be experiencing a mental health or Suicide crisis. She is certified in CAMS (Collaborative Approach to Managing Suicide) and Attachment Based Family Therapy and is a level 1 Child Trauma Specialist. She trains and presents in the area of Surviving a loss by suicide.

Jane also counsels individually with adults and adolescents who are experiencing life transitions, mood disorders, grief and loss, psychological or spiritual difficulties, or who wish to improve their marriages, parenting and life skills.

Jane is a married, mother of six children. She has over 15 years experience as a Social Worker and Counselor, providing educational and treatment groups, case management and individual counseling. As a Counselor/Social Worker, she is able to integrate her knowledge of social work and mental health issues to help families problem solve, overcome personal issues, and work toward positive and healthy home and life experiences.
