Freedom Bound Health Counseling, LLC
About
Kim has a Master's Degree from Ashland Theological Seminary in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and loves to explore how your spirituality may impact your life. We delve deep into hidden areas and discover amazing things about the resilience and strength you may have never fully realized.
As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I've worked with children and families through schools and churches quite successfully. Finding a way to help them learn better ways to communicate and get along with less strife is my primary goal. Helping you find your life's passion again and rediscover hidden talents is my gift.
Often, I work with people who have issues surrounding sexuality and I help them better understand themselves and how they get along in society. I've assisted several transgender people in their pathway. I feel blessed to be trusted in such a delicate matter.
Families often struggle to get along and kids may seem rebellious. I help families discover their strengths and ways to live each other in a more FUNctional way!
Women frequently report that I have helped them overcome challenges and gain new heights in living, themselves. Finding your voice is the key, and together we can do that.
I love working with people who think they may have attention issues. I work with the nation's leading physicians to help diagnose and treat your issues.
I love to watch the transformation from dis-ease to a life of grace and ease. People come in laden with frustrations and feeling stuck. After what may take hours, weeks or even months, they leave feeling lighter, free of unnecessary burdens and better coping skills to manage symptoms.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we assess if we are right for each other and have the skills to process together. Then you'll fill out intake documents and inform me if you insurance, copay, or other method of payment. Then we schedule weekly or your preferred pattern of visits. Weekly would best for quick changes!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree from Ashland, additional training in ADHD and have a Brain Health Coach certification from Amen Clinic. I have additional training in play therapy, trauma therapy, and was a crisis intervention specialist for ten years. I have extensive training in various modalities of therapy and training, as well as experience leading sexual education classes and enjoy working with clients regarding LGBTQ issues.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Because of my unique set of skills and genuine desire to help others, I've been able to attract the best clients who can afford to pay $200 per hour. Treatment can take as few as two sessions, but generally takes six to twelve sessions. I prefer weekly, so we don't lose momentum, but can do biweekly if needed.
How did you get started in this business?
While assisting a school deal with the sudden suicide of a teacher, I had many students tell me I was the best counselor they've had! I was acting as an interim youth pastor and didn't expect that. But I was taking classes, so switching majors was easy after firm answer to prayer was received. (Truly a miracle!)
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with kids as young as three and some as old as ninety five. Sure, there was one or two who didn't mesh with my style of counseling, but only one per decade!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Don't be afraid to ask questions. I even do a coffee with Kim session. For just twenty five dollars, we can meet for thirty minutes to see if we are a good fit.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Think about how committed you can be. How often is convenient for us to meet? Do what works for your schedule and your level of motivation.
