Pine Ridge Pastoral Counseling / Rev. Michael Heath, LMHC, Fellow AAPC
About
I specialize in dealng not only with marital or relationship issues but also with problems concerning human sexuality including sexless marriages and pornography .
Also, as an ordained minister and nationally certified pastoral counselor, I provide a comprehensive approach which helps people of faith to integrate both the psychological and spiritual aspects of their problems into a holistic solution.
It is a powerful and meaningful experience to, after getting to know a person's story and understanding their dilemmas, to be able to help them reduce their suffering , achieve greater awareness of their problems and, where possible to eliminate cripplling anxiety and depression or at least to find better and more satisgying ways to cope when their struggles are life long.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is a brief phone interview to determine if the person's issues match my expereince and expertise.
The next step are a series of 3-4 interviews during which I take a detailed psycho/social history and the client can get a sense if he or she or they are comfortable working with me . From this information I formulate a psychological explanation of the problem and suggest various options for treatment. This treatment plan will explain the various components of the therapy and an rough estimate of the time counselng should take.
If we agree to work together we then set regular time and schedule for appointments.
