I would give John ten stars if I could. He is the best of the best. For the first time in years, I have finally found hope.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First, I welcome you and listen carefully to what your concerns are. Then I talk about ways I can help, and offer several options.  I encourage you to choose the way that suits you best.  Then, we proceed forward together.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I hold a Masters Degree in Psychology and Counseling from Goddard College in Plainfield Vermont. I have extensive training and experience going back nearly 15 years as a DBT  Skills Trainer. Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

I utilize a sliding scale for fees based on household size and income.  I am happy to provide details to specific queries.  Often, client with insurance have been successful in submitting claims "out-of-network."  I am happy to submit whatever information insurance providers require.

How did you get started in this business?

I first worked for a regional substance abuse treatment agency, then for a hospital day treatment program.  After that, I started my own practice and have been happily growing that since 2015.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with all kinds of persons who struggle with manging their emotions, children and adults.  I have worked with couples seeking to improve their relationships.  I have worked children and adults on the Autistic Spectrum. I started with, and still work with, people seeking recovery from addictions.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

A client recently realized that the things she was telling herself about her life, weren't helping her, and weren't really true.  She began to appreciate how resilient she really was and was able to develop a new story about her life that was truer to her strength.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Find the person you can connect with and who really listens to you. That is more important than all the techniques we counselors learn.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
