I've been in the counseling field for over 30 years. I have a Masters Degree and am a certified recovery coach.
Mostof my career focused on addiction and working with families, however I also do grief counseling.
i use an eclectic approach, however prefer solution focused, motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always begin with determining the clients desired outcome for our work together. From there I help them to discover their resources to help them move toward that goal.i don't push a client to achieve what I want for them.

How did you get started in this business?
I started as a youth counselor for a police department, and was there for 11 years. I was then introduced to the addiction field, and worked 30 years for Rochester Regional Health System. Upon retiring, I chose to continue my work as a counselor in my private practice.
