Working with Mike Berkley was an absolute pleasure. He is a consummate professional with extensive knowledge and experience in the field. He has great bedside manner and makes you feel completely comfortable for every session. As a woman in my late 30's, with his assistance, I was able to get pregnant soon after I began working with him. I attribute a large part of this success to the services he provided. I highly recommend his practice.

Mike is really attentive, always has time to talk and answer questions, and is always super understanding and flexible with the scheduling. The studio is very relaxing and I'm able to actually fall asleep and rest during the acupuncture sessions!

Pleasant & calming feeling for every visit. Mike my acupuncturist listens to my concern. He is very knowledgeable & knows how to explain things that someone can easily be understood.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I treat patients twice weekly until pregnancy is achieved. Then, I continue to treat twice weekly for 13 weeks as 90% of miscarrriages occur within the first 12 weeks. If you make it to week 13, you have a high chance of giving birth to a happy and healthy baby.

The first visit takes about 90 minutes. We do an extensive intake and an acupuncture treatment. Going forward you'll be here for about 40 minutes at each visit.

We do accept insurance with prior approval. If you do not have insurance, or, if your insurance doesnt cover out-of-network providers for acupuncture, we have cost-savings-plans- available which can reduce the cost of your visits by almost 50%.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a degree in acupuncture. I am board certified and New York State licensed in acupuncture and Im also board certified in herbal medicine.

I have 21 years of experience in treating reproductive disorders.

I am a Fellow of the ABORM - see aborm.org

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

The first visit fee is $175.00. Each follow up visit is $125.00. We do accept insurance with prior approval. If you do not have insurance, or, if your insurance doesn't cover out-of-network- providers for acupuncture, we have cost-savings-plans- available which can reduce the cost of your visits by almost 50%.

How did you get started in this business?

I always had an interest in eastern philosophy, and healing. When my wife and I were trying to conceive we were faced with fertility challenges ourselves. My wife was able to conceive with the help of an acupuncturist. It was at that point that I knew that I wanted to specialize in treating reproductive disorders to help people achieve their dream of starting or growing their family.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I work with anyone with a fertility challenge. I treat patients who are faced with advanced maternal age, pcos, endometriosis, implantaion issues, immunological issues and unexplained infertility. I also treat men to help improve sperm parameters.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Be sure that the acupuncturist that you are considering is licensed and board certified, and board certified in herbal medicine. They should have lots of reproductive medicine experience and they must have relationships with reproductive endocrinologists. You dont want to see a practitoner who treats everything from A to Z any more than you would have a neurologist perform your IUI or IVF. Specialization equals experience and credibility.
