Frequently asked questions

We first meet with a new client for a 1.5 hour intake to allow for both the client and clinician to discuss the presenting problem, get to know each other, see if the relationship is a good match, and determine treatment plan.

We possess a range of academic and professional training.  We also each have tremendous clinical and life experiences that relate to the services we provide.

Each service is priced differently and some are self-pay only and others are paid for by insurance.

I served in the Army as a psychologist and when I retired I wanted to continue serving others.  So, I started GD PSYCH SERVICES.

Our providers service individuals across the lifespan as well as individuals with military service.  Our providers also have seen individuals with a range of mental health needs, to include trauma, anxiety, psychosis, memory impairment, grief, learning difficulties, personality disorders, and more.

We recently attended an appreciation day of our military at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center.  This was amazing.

Always use the first session/intake to get to know your therapist and determine if that provider feels like a good match and can provide the service you are seeking.  You always have an option to ask for a different provider.

Know why you are seeking help now.  Know what relationship style works for you or have some idea.  Then just let the first meeting guide you on what feels like it would be good to try and or not try.
