About
My services stand out because I have advanced training in over 10 different disciplines so I bring multiple skill sets & 30 + years of experience to every session. I am a licensed acupuncturist; massage therapist; board certified herbalist; exercise instructor with certifications in yoga, Pilates & pregnancy exercise techniques; an astrologer; energy worker & have training in several other disciplines. I can do hands on & in some disciplines remote work. Most importantly, my patients & clients get results!
What I most enjoy about the work I do is helping people. I am interested in helping people feel more at peace and in balance and nojust in the session they book but also in their day to day lives. My multidisciplinary training allows me to suggest exercises, herbs, lifestyle changes that could help the patient/client, if they express the interest, to shift their condition from one of imbalance to balance. I am passionate about assisting people in their effort to feel healthy, strong and at at peace. I enjoy assisting people move from pain to relief from suffering.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process when working with a new customer always begins with the question, "What brings you here today?" The specific treatment methods depend on the agreed upon modality/modalities I will be using. Acupuncture and massage are typically used to relieve stress and often pain. Before we begin the session, we talk about what the client wants to focus on. A first time acupuncture treatment is 90 minutes and begins with doing an intake. I typically email a patient health history form to the client which they print and fill out prior to the appointment time. If the client doesn't have access to a printer they can fill out the form on site. We talk about their areas of concern and I create a treatment protocol based on a diagnosis of their symptoms. Depending upon where the needles are to be placed I instruct the client to either disrobe & lie on the massage table covered by a towel(s) or if it is possible to work with them in the clothing they are wearing like a t shirt or sweat pants then sometimes they only need to expose areas from the knee and elbow down. Loosely fitting clothing can easily be arranged. If the patient needs to disrobe, before I leave the room to give them some privacy, I request that they do so & either lie face up if I'm treating the front of the body or face down if I'm doing a back treatment and then I step outside the room to give them privacy to do so. I knock on the door and re-enter the room to begin in the treatment. I either wash my hands or swab my hands with alcohol prior to beiginning the treatment. All needles, by law, are sealed & disposable. I take a cotton ball with 70% rubbing alcohol on it and swipe the spots on the body to be needled & then insert acupuncture needles in the necessary points on the body. If the patient feels cold I place a Mylar (silver) blanket on them to keep them warm. The patient retains the needles from 20 - 40 minutes. I typically leave the room so the patient can relax in a quiet space & I check on them throughout the time they are resting. Many people fall asleep. When the 20-40 minutes is done, I remove the needles & place them in a biohazard container. I leave the room so the client may redress and re-enter when the client is dressed. We either talk for a moment in the room or, when at my office, in the reception area. An acupuncture treatment may also include complementary modalities such as cupping or instruction of corrective exercises which can occur as needed either before or after the needling portion of the session.
When doing a massage, I ask, "Do you have any aches and/or pains? Do you have any areas of the body that require special attention?" I always ask the client to point out on their body where the pain is. Before I leave the room, I ask the client to disrobe and lie on the massage table face down & when I return to the room we begin the massage. I use a product called biotone which is an organic, non-greasy, lotion which doesn't stain cloth unless I'm doing a massage where the client is clothed as in the cases of chair massage in corporate settings or shiatsu or per request. The length of the massage is per request and I have worked from 15 minutes up to 3 hours on one client.
