Limitless Counseling PLLC specializes in providing individual, couples and family therapy. I maintain a HIPPA compliant private practice via telehealth in North Carolina. I have been working in mental health since 1998 and have been a therapist since 2006. When working with clients, I help them identify natural support systems, set healthy boundaries, develop coping skills and process issues. Using active listening, empathy and unconditional positive regard, I have a collaborative approach to care focusing on building resiliency. I have experience working as a social worker, family counselor, lead teaching parent, in-home counselor and as the program director for a teen crisis shelter. Passionately devoted to improving people’s lives, I work to give people the appropriate services they need to be successful in life, be those counseling services, educational resources or community initiatives.
I often using humor to ease tension and lighten the mood, I enjoy building rapport and helping people feel supported. When working with clients, I help them identify natural support systems, set healthy boundaries, develop coping skills, gain work/life balance and process issues. Using active listening, empathy and unconditional positive regard, I have a holistic collaborative approach to care focusing on building resiliency.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Client's will give their full name, email address and phone number. They will be setup up in the system and sent an intake email and given access to the system to fillout the intake paperwork. After the paperwork is completed the first initial appointment will be scheduled.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Services from the University of Massachusetts in 2002 and went on to pursue her Masters of Education from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. She is also a certified Clinical Military Counselor, Hypnotherapist, is EMDR trained, Certified in Conflict Resolution and Mediation from Duke University.
How did you get started in this business?
I have been in working in mental health since 1998. I have worked in all levels of from inpatient, residential, intensive in home services and was the director of the Teen Crisis Runaway Shelter until I transition in to doing outpatient therapy. Two years ago I branched out on my own to start my own private practice.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with people ages 10 to 55 who are dealing with major life changes like becoming first time parents, divorce, preparing for or adjusting to college, and grief. I help client's dealing with grief, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, Family issues, phobia, pain disorder and psychosis.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure that you find a therapist that you feel comfortable with and that you can truly connect with. It's okay to change therapist if you feel like you can't connect with your current therapist.
