I approach the counseling process as a collaborative effort, a partnership between the clinician and the client. I believe that the client has the capacity to solve their own problems. With guidance and support from the clinician, the client is allowed to take the lead in resolving their own problems.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer is of course obtaining their personal information, and ascertaining other information, such as their story, what led them to pursue counseling support. I explain to them the counseling process, answer any questions or concerns they may have, and then allow them to determine the focus of the session.
