I have lots of experience working with people and yet each is their own person....I look to understand their perspectives and who they really are from the start. In so doing I can get to the main issue fairly quickly. I am genuinely interested in what the client wants to accomplish and help them accomplish it. I listen for their strengths and where they may feel blocked and how to reach them the best. Clients get better!! They feel happier and their lives change during htis process. I have many approaches and resources that can be used to help the client and I am perseverant in trying new things to see what will work. I am willing to do one complimentary session with new clients to see if there is a match. I am looking forward to new clients this Spring.
Working with people is enjoyable for me. Each person is unique and they come for specific results so we have a common purpose up front. I really enjoy seeing how specific actions and tools I may suggest can lead to renewed confidence and self esteem and optimism for life--transformation! It is really satisfying and fun! I have been a consultant/coach for many years and have the experience of moving to 10 different cities, managed to survive two divorces, adopted a child with special needs and reinvented myself as an artist living in New Orleans. All of this experience helps me understand from a practical standpoint...that we all have tehings to work through a various times in our lives.
I have a Masters Degree in Human Resources with a specialty in Training. I also have completed training for both Life Coaching and Business Coaching. I have had my own company working with various individuals as well as teams for over twenty years. I came to New Orleans for a corporate job which ended in 2008 with the economic crash, Since then I have been reinventing myself as an artist and most recently having client work again. I love the balance of art and business which to me is PEOPLE. I think I am easy to talk to and am a warm and nurtuing person and I want you to have the results you are looking for. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My service is online so we set up a time to meet and introduce ourselves. I want to understand what the client is looking for, what actions they have taken in the past and what is leading them to request Counseling now. I share results of clients with similar issues and my approach.
I answer any questions they have. We set up a time we can meet weekly. We discuss payment arrangements and my preference is weekly payments by credit card.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
i have a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management with a specialty in Training. All of my work as a professional has included interviewing and understanding and working with people...from CEO's to teams to individual employees that I hired. I have especially enjoyed working with teams and how they can be more communicative and enjoy work more. I have had many work experiences that have taughts me about people and as a change agent in organizations, it is really important to "get" people and understand their perspectives. In addition, on the personal side, I myself have had to overcome 2 divorces and reinventing myself in a location that was unfamiliar. 12 step programs have helped me, meditation, physical fitness, lots of tapes on youtube and being an artist has really balanced me in so many ways. My approach is definitely holistic...understanding the whole person.
