About
Reaching out for help takes courage and is likely one of the hardest steps on the path to healing. Maybe you’ve been praying that a relationship will improve, or you’l get A better job, or the anxiety you’re feeling will go away, or the addiction you’re battling will subside. Prayer does change things and gives us hope but seeking the help of a trained professional can accelerate positive change, reframe negative thoughts, and help restore balance in life. Learning new ways to cope, tapping into the power of mindfulness, and changing perspectives can increase happiness and offer a way to ease depression and end isolation. Pain and stress can paralyze. If you are stuck in life, I can help. I use Mindfulness-Based techniques and Positive Psychology. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral/Dialectical Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy which means I’ll help you discover different ways of viewing problems and learn new coping and communication skills. We’ll work on your healing together. If you’re feeling depressed, struggling with life and relationships, grief, anger, or loss, consider Life Restore Counseling. I’ll help you see how negative thoughts sabotage behavior and how behavior then impacts thoughts. If you’re at the point of giving up, please don’t. Call me instead. I’ll do my best to help. I have been a counselor for 5 years helping people with a wide range of problems. I have a particular interest in substance use disorders and ineffective coping skills. I am also a National Certified Counselor and have a second MA in Psychology and have been a college psychology instructor for 20 years. Call me....I’ll do my best to help you regain balance in life.
Helping clients grow in self-confidence, tackle and resolve life issues, and embrace the happiness each of us deserves is what I emjoy about counseling. I like helping individuals learn relaxation techniques and ways to manage stress and anxiety, and I am very honored when a client thanks me for helping them resolve issues that have caused them heartache.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first session is free. I give the client paperwork to take home and we review the counseling process to help them understand what to expect. I also give them a full counseling session so that they can decide if they believe we'll be a good fit for each other in the counseling room. I ask them to describe the reasons they sought counseling and what is causing them distress. We also discuss short-term goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed in the state of Louisiana which means I have met all the licensing regulations, completed + 3000 counseling hours with clients, and passed a national exam. I have a Master of Arts in Counseling & General Guidance and also a Master of Arts in Psychology. I am also a National Certified Counselor which means I have met and continue to meet the strictest requirements relative to the national exam and continuing education hours. I have five years counseling experience. I focus on depression/anxiety and the process of changing negative thought processes through Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Therapy, and Positive Psychology.
