Counseling was a midlife career change for me after experiencing several simultaneous losses. I sought counseling which helped me uncover the authentic me. This transformation led me to want to help others discover themselves and their potential.
I am a therapist in private practice providing out patient counseling for adults either in the office or online. I have 20 years of experiece counseling in academic and private practice settings. My specialities are working with individuals with anxiety, depression or grief issues, and with couples.
In my practice I accept many major insurance carriers and also treat self pay clients.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a brief phone call to determine whether I am a good fit for the client's needs.
I gather insurance data so I can confirm insurance benefits for the client, assuring we both are aware of the financial arrangements.
I either email the intake documents to the client or direct them to my website where they can downloand the documents and complete them prior to the first appoitment.
During the first appointment we thoroughly review the intake information so I can capture the big picture of the client's life history and current situation.
