I provide online services to individuals living in Illinois. I created Illumination Psychotherapy, because I believe everyone deserves assessible menal health care. Here is about me, and my theraputic style:
My name is Garrett, and it's brave of you to reach out. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I provide services for Illinois residents by phone, online, and in-home (Chicagoland area). In therapy, my goal is to foster a safe environment for which we can develop a trusting relationship to help face your opportunities of growth.
One of the greatest tools in therapy is the client-therapist relationship. Through evidence-based interventions, I work with children and adults. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression & suicidal ideation.
I incorporate a wide range of interventions, and the goal is to facilitate a relationship that empowers you to take action. Therapy is hard work, but you're not alone. Being let into your life is the truest honor. Personal life: I am currently in yoga-teacher-training, which I integrate into my therapeutic approach. Let's create space, together.

First, we schedule a free 20-minute consultation call to make sure we are a good fit.
Next, I email you a link from Theranest (which is where our online sessions take place).
Finally, we both log into the confidential online portal and start our work together.
