About
My name is Heather Nemeth (LCPC). I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. I provide discounted self pay coaching and counseling services within the United States for individuals looking to promote positive developmental growth academically, personally, and professionally.
I obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in Social Sciences at Washington State University in 2008 and Master of Arts Degree (M.A.) in Counseling Psychology from Capella University in 2010.
For more than twenty years, I have worked as a behavioral healthcare provider in a wide variety of settings during my professional career – working as a mental health provider, case manager for the Medicaid population, teletherapist, hospital mental health professional, substance abuse and addiction counselor, as well as an executive function / life coach. I have broad expertise treating depression, anxiety, family conflict, relationship problems, and childhood disorders associated with the autism spectrum. I also work with individuals who are seeking a faith-based approach to wellness.
My philosophy on self improvement is based on empowering my clients to ask for support and being open to new ways of thinking.
My high level of dedication in helping others has on occasion led people to say, “Heather, you can’t change the world.” In a way, that’s probably true on a global scale. However, I have seen that being kind to others and helping them achieve their fullest potential has led to a healthier and happier sense of self which then gets portrayed externally onto others.
In my spare time, I enjoy enhancing my primitive survival techniques, hiking, gaming with my kids, and motorcycle riding. I also belong to the Bikers Against Bullying Club and have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

The passion and enjoyment I get from working with clients is being able to share in their journey of positive growth and personal development. I am able to measure my success by the success of my clients. Knowing that I have been able to assist clients with conquering various challenges and creating new ways of thinking makes the work that I do extremely rewarding. Not only for them, but for me as well.
